System UI Tuner - Apply System UI Tuner settings on any Android device. Still, there are no numbers on the Tiles. Thanks, but I got all the settings right. Hope it helps, as for me still waiting for mine to be delivered. It is almost impossible to remember them at a later time, if you do not click on them at the time they appeared. Third, the pop-up notifications are displayed ONCE and then they are gone for ever. In that scenario it is impossible to get notifications for the specific app and yet in many cases people want to have the app installed but they do not need the tile visible all of the time in front of there faces, but they need to keep up with that app and its notifications which is impossible if they do not have the app's tile pinned in the Start Screen. Many people are installing apps but they do not pin the Tile on the Start Screen. The more apps you have the more tiles you need to follow manually in order to catch up with your stuff. However this causing major issues to keep up with your apps.įirst you need to manually check every single Tile to see if there is any notification available for that specific app.

Does anyone else have this problem?Īm sure I read that they ran out of time, so no notifications until or they patch it, summat like that Of course all the settings are set to give me such notifications. Even the store doesn't tell me about apps that need to be updated. I know that the Facebook app still has problems but also other apps won't work. The Live Tiles on my device won't show me notifications. In Application Info inside Settings > Apps, just below Permissions you will find what you are looking for in 'Apps that can appear on top' under 'Advanced'.

I don't know how to enable the System UI Tuner, but you can disable "peeking".
I hate heads up notification actually from WhatsApp. I have same problem also since my S7 edge upgraded to 7.0. Post added at 11:14 AM - Previous post was at 10:59 AM. I, I get it: I didn't have all the extra options in system UI tuner in my previous device running Marshmallow (only the "tiles" stuff", this wasn't a Samsung device) thus my mistake on the exact scope of your question.ĭid you find a solution to the problem? I just updated my S7 Edge to Nougat 7,0 and now I experience the exact same problem as you. The solution is this command and you don't have to be rooted: System UI Tuner has the ability to set notification levels including disabling message previews however Samsung pulled it out in 7.0. The only option in notifications with the Samsung version of 7.0 is everything off, or messages in your face with vibrate and ding. Not show my messages to the whole world, nor me when i don't want to see them. I want notifications to ding and vibrate, but only show an icon on the status bar.

Message peak is when you are trying to do something on your phone, but you cannot see your screen because every message that arrives is instantly in your face with the full length of the message for everyone to see. "Called" means what is this app called that enables Ui Timer settings, therefore the ability to disable message peek. I confess I don't know what "notification power control" is: I was only replying to the thread subject ("System UI Tuner in Nougat").īut maybe if you give a more detailed explanation of what you're trying to to ("disable peek"), I could help on it too. There are some 3rd party apps which allows to add custom tiles ("Custom Quick Settings" being one of them), some others apps already support this feature for their own usage. To use it under S7 nougat, fully expand quick settings area then, open the three dot menu and press "edit". The "Nougat way" of editing quick settings buttons (actually replacing system UI tuner, which has been phased out) tiles doesn't' require root at all. Sorry, don't understand what you mean by "called" There's a new official API in Nougat for thisĬalled? I don't see anything that disables peek and doesn't require root. Super annoying for sure! Hating 7.0 on AT&T because of this. Im annoyed by the WhatsApp heads up notification System UI Tuner in Nougat - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers Is it possible in any way to enable the System UI Tuner in Nougat build, or has Samsung removed this feature? I'm particularly looking for notification power controls as there seems to be no way to disable heads up without also making them silent.
